Joanne Machin

Joanne Machin lives in the greater Seattle area with her beloved husband and their dog, Oliver, a spunky, two-year-old Welsh terrier. Joanne studied literature and creative writing at the University of Washington during her undergrad and then completed her master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Policy at Portland State University. She enjoys a cup of good espresso, taking Oliver to the dog park, and practicing yoga. People have described her as “fierce,” “an Energizer bunny,” “multi-passionate,” and “a firecracker.” In her free time, she thinks a lot about social justice issues and how she can make the world a better place through building deep, authentic relationships with other people.
